Puddles are unavoidable but drainage can help to lessen the mosquito population at your home. You have to manage the cleanliness of water for home mosquito control. Chlorinating your pool will not allow the mosquitoes to breed. If you have a pond at your home, keep fish that eat mosquito larvae. Even if you do not want fish at your home you can spread layers of petroleum oil over water which will help to suffocate the mosquito eggs.
Keep the grass of your garden trimmed because adult mosquitoes like to rest on tall grass and this may cause hindrance in your home mosquitoe control. Moreover, do not forget to check the rain gutters occasionally and clean them so that they do not clog. Your children’s toy can also collect water if left in ground so make sure that their toys are not lying around in your garden when they are not needed. If these toys are water holding, mosquitoes will not miss a chance to make it their breeding spot. Throwing out garbage regularly is another important measure.
